Toda a Matéria... (All Mater...) is a painting installation by Ana Catarina Fragoso. The installation is based on works made on metal and paper, produced from landscapes in different geographies to explore the idea of closeness and remoteness implicit when looking at a landscape. The relatively long title from the bigger painting describes an observable phenomenon in Lake Hevíz, Hungary. One of the largest natural thermal lakes in Europe, Hevíz has a very strong flow and the water in the lake is completely replenished every 72 hours, which brings to surface minerals and sediments from earth’s interior and the bottom of the lake.
